Not a big fan of the cover art but the title is eye catching

HAHA I loved the first few pages of monologue from a dead guy, with the scathing criticism of the mourners at his funeral and it builds nicely into the mysterious catch of the story

Right on to the rest of the first impression:

I really liked the build in this and the initial glimpses of "the crew".
I found the levels of detail and background vs story telling, was well balanced . I sped through this first impression very easily, it is a well-written flowing novel by this account.

The premise is brilliant.
A group of long-time friends who probably shouldn't be. One of these so-called friends kills himself and leaves behind letters for the rest of them containing a secret about each of them that they have kept from one another over the years.

A real screw you intro that will hopefully lead to a great novel of intrigue as the first secret revealing that the dead Danny was a murderer(we think? )

If this is the opening glimpse of the story I genuinely am interested in seeing how Kaela Coble tops it, and how the story progresses and the chaos unfolds
One of the better first impression I've read in a while I think.
