Although I enjoyed this book I don’t think that I was the target audience for it. It is definitely aimed at a young adult audience and I’m not a young adult. It reminded me of a Netflix series full of eighteen year olds getting mixed up in love and drama with a bit of suspense. The story is about a young man called Danny who takes his own life and leaves notes for his friends who he hasn’t seen for ten years. They all come back for the funeral and old wounds are opened because these notes contain secrets about each one of them. I did read it quickly and I needed to know what happened but I found it juvenile in places. The book flicks from now and then and is mainly told by Ruby and her perspective. It was however frustrating that she couldn’t sort her feelings out even when she has grownup a bit. However I do enjoy stories about small towns and how everything is scrutinised when you live in one, this was done very well
