Disappointing.

When I initially read the synopsis of the story I assumed that it was a thriller, "Ruby's secret is so explosive, she will fight tooth-and-nail to keep it hidden from those she once loved so deeply, even if that means risking everything..." This quote left me thinking that it was going to be quite dark and exciting, however in my opinion that was not the case, it was a run of the mill novel about past relationships and how they can impact the present. I did not find any of the secrets explosive, except perhaps that of the dead man and that I just found really sad.

However I did enjoy the way the chapters covered the experiences from different characters points of view and the way they flip between the past and the present for Ruby.

I would not recommend this book to any of my reading group.
