I got a pretty large PLL vibe when reading this book. I guess the premise is the same — almost a bit of a mix between PLL and Thirteen Reasons Why actually — but it was a little bit juicier than that.
The plot surprises were actually not hard to figure out, which I was a little bit disappointed with. But the whole piece was different and original, and written very well. As a debut novel, I’d say it was a very strong start for the authors career!
I’m still in LOVE with that cover as well. So, so gorgeous! And I think it really suits the whole storyline as a whole as well. The title — ‘Friends and Liars’ — is very apt and perfect for this book and it’s premise / storyline. I look forward to reading the author’s future works!
