This book was brilliant, and had be hooked d from the beginning. I loved the diversity of the characters, portrayed honestly to create a real sense of their personalities. I had to keep reading, had to know the ending, but not in the way I had been expecting. Instead of focusing on the plot, with its twists and turns, the main focus is on the character and the dynamics of their various relationships, making this an interesting study in friendships and how they survive (or don't survive) the test of time. I would highly recommend it to people who love to be kept guessing and who fancy a book that makes them nostalgic for their younger years, and I will definitely looking out for any future books that this author writes.
