This book isn’t the sort of book I’d usually choose because it’s a different genre from my ‘go to’ genre.
However, there were parts of this story that I did enjoy. First of all, the characters. They all are written pretty well and came across like a pretty normal group. It could relate to some of them more than others but that’s to be expected.
The plot is also quite interesting if not a little, samey. That’s not a criticism - some people rely on this. For me though, I like to be transported and I’m not sure I wasn’t taken very far.
Lastly, this book is a nice quick read, without any real challenges. It’s a writer i’d not heard of before but definitely one I’d spot now whilst out and about.
All in all, a good story but not one I’d buy for everyone or nag at them until they bought and/or read it.
