"All things done in the dark have a way of coming to light..."

When Ruby's childhood friend, Danny, commits suicide she is drawn back into a world she has spent 10 years trying to forget. She hopes to show her face at the funeral and then slip off back to her new life, keeping the past in the past. However, Danny has other plans! Along with his suicide note, he has enclosed four sealed envelopes, each with a name of one of his friends written on the front and inside their deepest darkest secret. He threatens "If you don't tell each other your secrets, you never know how, or when, I might have arranged for them to come out."

After reading a short sample, I was so hooked I had to purchase the book. I believed it was going to be a psychological thriller, one of my favourite genres, but it wasn't and I don't even care! I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down, despite not being what I wanted/expected.

Half way through I still hadn't realised it wasn't a psychological thriller and wrote in my book log, "I'm a little bit gutted I'm already 50% through the book. Not much has happened yet, just a lot of back story and suspense building." Now I've finished the book (and I know it's not a psychological thriller) I see it differently, that was the story - how the past can catch up with you and Kaela Coble had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
