A group of friends comes back together because one of their number has committed suicide. Some of them have been estranged during this time, but they quickly fall back into old patterns of behaviour. The catch is that the friend who killed himself has left an envelope with a secret about each of them, which they have to decide whether to share or not.

I liked the way the group came back together, and the way the book alternates between the past and present and between different narrators (including the deceased Danny!) as a way of slowly revealing the reasons for why things are the way the are. I also enjoyed the gradual reveal of the secrets. My only criticism is that I didn't think the secrets lived up to their hype, and didn't really understand why they needed to be so closely guarded, with perhaps the exception of Ruby's. Overall I did enjoy this book, but wasn't left wanting more.
