I've never heard of this series before, from the cover i was expecting a bit of an espionage angle, but from the excerpt i can't say it overly engaged me or offer much in the way of espionage.
It took a while to get going (which is saying something for just 21 pages), I'd probably only give it 3 stars based on the excerpt alone. However the blurb gives away a bit more of the story to come which does sound more interesting, so i am intrigued enough to want to find out more.
