This book was not for me personally. It was nice to read a genre that I do not usually read. I think this book was a little too politically based for me. This book was actually part of a series, I had not read the previous books before this one. This book follows Inspector Troy, who has been promoted to run a murder squad. Luckily this book did set the scene for me, so reading the other books is not essential - but useful.
For me, if I did not set myself a deadline to finish this book - then I would not have done so. I do think for someone who likes investigative novels then this series would be good for you. The plot was a bit slow and sometimes linked to previous novels so it did leave some confusion.
