What can I say other than that this book isn't my cup of tea? I read it, but it was a bit of a push to get through it and I won't be rushing to re-read it or any of the other books in the series or by the same author. It definitely didn't help that I haven't read any of the other books in the series, but more than that, it just didn't do it for me when I already love so many of the classics in the same genre. It felt a little dated for my liking, or if not dated then just old fashioned, not because of the time period its set in (I love the time period) but because of the style of writing. That said, I know my grandmother and maybe even my dad would enjoy this book, so I'm not writing it off, only saying that its not my type of book.
