I really enjoyed this intense murder fiction. It had me wanting to know what was coming next. I really connected with the characters and felt as if I knew them. It was full of suspense and was written in a clever way that you didn't want to put it down. I would definitely read more from the author G.R.Halliday. The main D.I in the book Monica Kennedy was a great character and you really felt her presence whilst reading. I got the impression her work was always before home life which was a shame for her daughter.
I felt quite disturbed at times when a new dead body was discovered and described but that was due to the excellent writing style and descriptive.
I throughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and unlike some stories it never got slow or boring.
