A super well written mystery thriller.Such a pleasant change to have a femail detective solving murders and mysteries.Written about the murders in the Scottish highlands,which gives the murders a very atmospheric setting,and describes the local countryside well.The story begins with a body being found in the remote wild countryside and as the story deepens it is very obvious to the Detective Inspector Monica Kennedy that there will be more murders,so it seems to be a race against time to get to the bottom of these crimes and find the murderer.A social worker comes into the story,he is attempting to find a young boy, a client of his who has disappeared,and at times he seems to be well involved in the mystery. A good book that keeps you guessing from the start.
