Sadly this book didn't work for me. From the first impression, I thought this would be something I would enjoy but getting further into the book, it all became too slow-paced and seemed to have too much going at just one point. I think on the whole, this book has a good plot line and a great character in D.I. Monica Kennedy but it just needed more in terms of pace and leaving me wanting to know more - leaving me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next.
For a debut book, this is a good starting point and one that I can praise the author for. So in this respect I'm looking forward to seeing what the author comes up with next
