I was very excited to read this book as the first impression really drew me in but unfortunately for me I just couldn't get into it past this. I felt that the story was too slow paced for me and I just couldn't get into it.
I will admit I did enjoy the story and it is very well written and as a character D.I. Monica Kennedy is really very good and enjoyable to read about. As much as I did enjoy where the story was going I just felt that it took too long to get there.
As this is a debut from this author I feel I will read more from them as I really did enjoy the writing style and would love to see where they go from here.
