I love crime novels and this one although was a slow-burner to start, it picked up the pace and kept you guessing all way through.
The descriptions of the lovely scenery in Scotland where the book is set really made me picture it as I have visited Scotland in the past. Particularly around Inverness in the rain!
The twists and turns throughout the book were great so you don’t really know who is committing the crimes until the end.
The dialogue between the general public and the police together with the social workers was I think spot on. The cover of this book takes you immediately to the mountains and looks dark and creepy which I love.
I am honoured to have been given a chance to read this new author and look forward to more.
