I was drawn in right from the first page. The description is very good in this book, its almost as if I am involved in it, I can imagine it so easily. The first page is always important for me, and probably a lot of readers, because I often read the first page of a book before I buy it to see if I like the authors writing style, Kate London has a beautiful writing style, which I now want to read more of!
The first look starts off with a funeral, and Susie, who sits in her car before it, looks back at when her sister had died in a car crash.
Then the story carries on with Owen, who used to be in the army, who finds a fifteen year old boy, covered in blood, begging Owen to not let him die.
We find out the boys name is spencer.
The boy dies on the scene.
You then get a look into Spencer's friend who was there at the time of the stabbing. He is covered in Spencer's blood and is terrified of getting caught, even though he didn't kill spencer. He phones a friend and his friend takes charge and tells him what to do in order to not get caught by the police.

Overall This is a great first look and I am stoked to be able to read the whole book, even if I don't win it I will deffo buy it because this is such an interesting book, with a great plot and even greater characters!
