Although this is the third book in the series I found that I could read it without having read the first two in the set although maybe if I had then I might have found it more enjoyable.
it was well written although some of the characters I didn't like but the story was gripping. The gang culture and organised crime that the police had to deal with is probably nothing new in today's society but the tit for tat reprisals in the novel , well got annoyed with them , they really wound me up.
At times the story seemed rushed and yet at other times it dragged and I was on the verge of giving up on the book altogether. From a fatal stabbing through the plot to find out the killer the detectives did a stirling job ...but not sure I would want to read any more in this series
