A London based version of The Wire!
I love a crime thriller and this was very addictive. It reminded me of the box set ‘The Wire’ but instead of Baltimore, this was a lot closer to home in London!
Fans of Sarah Bailey would revel in this style of writing where you follow the police side of the story parallel the criminal side.
I like that there was a lot of ‘street’ talk and some of the acronyms the police used made me laugh.
It was interesting to follow the complications of working in the force and having a difficult home life - we Expect it to be complicated on the criminals path.
Overall I found this to be a very complex and well planned out novel, realistic in this day and age. Sometimes there is a much bigger picture than a plain murder, a huge story that we don’t always see right from the start...
