I thought this book was ok, but it by no means blew me away.

The storyline itself was decent, but a little confused by the sheer number of characters involved. I never quite felt sure who was who and this made it more difficult to settle into the swing of things. I also noticed that it was book three of a series, and I did at times feel very much like I was reading another book that the first few hundred pages had been ripped out of, again this made it difficult to understand the characters and the journey they were on.

The gangland culture represented in the book was pretty stereotypical, and the language the gang members used seemed a bit out of touch, like a mum describing her son to her friends rather than it seeming "real". I'd have liked a little more originality.

All that said, it was a quick read that wasn't unenjoyable. Whilst I wouldn't rush to try another of Kate London's books I also wouldn't rule them out completely.
