I was really pleased to have won this book. I enjoyed the first impression and to an extent I'm enjoying what I'm reading so far.
The characters are life like, sprinkled with a bit of dark humour, but guided by the thriller of the text. The settings are realistic, creating the police style backdrop of this type of story.
I'm finding the pace, in parts, to be a little on the slow side, with a tad too much description in sections which is, for me, causing the plot to slow. I'm sure the jntention is to create tension in the reader, but I'm after a quick, easy read that'll take me away for a little while. In parts, this is that book. In others, it's isn't.
Overall, I'm enjoying it, but I'm not sure it's one I will rush back to.
