For me, this book is just what you would expect from its genre. It promises a gripping crime thriller and you will not be disappointing in this. There are certain amazing moments that left me shocked and surprised so really enjoyed the twists and turns that came throughout.
However, I personally don't think the writing is as good as it could have been and was a little bit of a let down. But, nevertheless I don't think this took the integrity away from the story and lived up to its Broadchurch like comparison. I would say it is a really good read.
All characters were well thought out and well established enough for me to root for them and even feel their emotional journey along with them.
