I have read other books by Kate London and really enjoyed them
But I did not enjoy the subject if this book
Gang violence and knife crime are such a problem at this time. The book could not be more current. Spencer is stabbed and steps out of Gallowstree Lane asking for help but it is too late and he dies.Operation Perseus is an undercover drugs operation which is threatened by the murder.
The world of knife crime and gangs is thankfully alien to most of us. The subject is well researched and well written. The characters are not always likeable .
I would not buy this book in a shop. It is not my usual subject and although it is an important subject it is not something I would chose to read a novel about.
