A very topical novel that has at its core the impact of gang related violence on teenagers in London. The depiction of knife crime and its tragic consequences are chilling to read. The spiral it sets off shows that young people caught up in these events really have no way out. It is a pacey read with very believable characters throughout. Kate London will no doubt be one of the most read authors over the coming years. The story begins with a casual meeting between a group of teenagers which ends in the violent death of one of them. This leads to a domino effect that captures the very real underbelly of gang life in big cities. Would highly recommend and look forward to the next book from Kate London.
