This was an interesting (and timely) subject matter, but I found it didn't really live up to expectations from reading the blurb.
The cover's typical of most current police thrillers, it's eyecatching but nothing sets it apart from all the others out there. (I'm convinced publishers get together and decide what 'this seasons theme' will be...ooh let's go moody atmospheric black and white street view with a splash of vivid colour for the wording this autumn)
It was an okay read, bit predictable and all the usual police procedural cliches present and correct, but it didn't do anything to elevate it above the hundreds of other books in that genre out there, and certainly won't stick in my mind as an author I'd eagerly look out for again.
