I really enjoyed this book, reading it in only a handful of sittings. My top highlights were that you could really empathise for all the main characters, even though their interests were often conflicting, and that you got the story from different perspectives. The role shift was especially effective because the main part of the story was told from the viewpoints of different police officers, of different ranks, and with different intentions and aims. I've never read a book that used this before and I really enjoyed it, particularly the tension it created and hearing the officers perspective of each other. I did, however, find a typo! I'd recommend this book to any fans of crime fiction, as a fast-paced and beautifully woven plot.
