The blurb had me incredibly excited to read this book - how could one word lead to such dramatic action?? The first few chapters however have felt slow. Set in a different culture, this seems written for an audience that are more familiar with the lifestyle. It doesn’t paint me a picture and pull me in to somewhere new. I want to see how it all comes together but I fear that the action promised by the cover and blurb may not be forthcoming.
