As someone who rarely picks up thrillers, this made an excellent first impression on me! I loved the introductions of the various characters, the way the narrative shifted to give a brief but concise focus on each of them. The story was easy to quickly get into and I found myself forgetting it was only an extract and feeling disappointed at the end. All in all, a very interesting and well-written start to the book, and I look forward to reading more!
