Good gracious! A mundane family get-together with all the minutiae you could wish for as you get to know the family is suddenly blown away by an outrageous act by the one character Gustaf Skördeman hadn't really told us anything about. I was so surprised I would have dropped the book. Now I'm intrigued and have to know what happens next.
