This really didn't feel like a long first impression it sucked me right in and honestly can't wait to read more. I love crime novels but this doesn't feel like a rehash of many similar previous ideas which can be the case with crime novels. This feels new and fresh and exciting. I haven't read any other novels by the author and am honestly intrigued to see what direction this book goes and how much history I'd incorporated.
