Despite not being a novel concept, the writing draws you in to the thrilling, suspensful plot, and it reads very much like a feature movie that I'd like to see the ending for. There is a great deal of suspense that is built from the short extract alone, an interesting group of characters, and the cover alone would intrigue me to pick it up due to the art.
