Geiger starts with a thrilling sequence of events in which grandmother Agneta kills her husband of many years, Stellan, and we are left wondering why. The story follows both Agneta following the murder and also Sara, a police woman who was a childhood friend of Agneta and Stellan's daughters.

It was really interesting to see how the story developed as Sara pieced together information about Stellan's killing whilst Agneta was on the run. I found that there were constant twists and turns and the book wasn't at all predictable, with regular new information sprinkled to surprise the reader.

I did find that some of the explanations of political elements of the story were difficult to follow and so I possibly missed elements of the story but this didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the book.

Overall, this was a great spy thriller with lots to keep the reader guessing.
