Geiger was a Fantastic book.

I will start with a small word of warning, this book contains very mature/adult content and themes; Trafficking, child abuse, prostitution among a range of other more adult content.
It is all well written and really adds depth, but there is no mention of this any where on the book or cover beforehand.

This is a slow burn thriller set in Sweden, it is a translation but very well done, I think you would struggle to realise it isn't in the original language.

The story gets off to an explosive start when Agenta Broman receives a call with a single-code word 'Geiger'. The 80-year old woman then executes her husband and goes on the run, just after waving goodbye to her daughters and grandchildren.

The police are drawn in, including an old family friend, and the novel sets off at quite a slow pace that will take the reader through post-cold war Sweden in a convoluted race to unravel the truth and foil a terrorist scheme

We have crime, we have manipulations, we have childhood trauma, and a plot the is constantly changing and keeping the reader on their toes.
At multiple occasions it is hard to tell who exactly we are supposed to be rooting for. The characters in this novel are far from perfect, and all the more real for it.
As the book progresses I found myself more and more interested in the characters and the time period and it was a very enjoyable read, and a puzzle to try and work out what was coming before it happened.

The only thing that lets this book down slightly is that the ending, in my opinion, was a little to quick to wrap everything up, and a few things we slightly too neatly resolved.

Overall I really enjoyed it.
