This book is a masterpiece the way it draws you in and leaves you with so many questions and stays in your mind for days to come it was such a compelling premise, plot twists on top of more mere plot twists, violence, dirty secrets and hidden identities. This spiralled into something unexpected. Both Sara and Agneta were fascinating characters the way the story had a slow burn increased my interest even more! Heavy on political history with plenty of dark, moral complexity and some deeply unpleasant characters add in the marvellous and unexpected ending and I’m still pondering what did I just read, I could tell from just the first few pages that this would be the kind of book I'd start and finish in the same day, staying up all hours of the night because it would be impossible to put down, then likely a few more hours just thinking about it, this books will stay a chef-d'oeuvre for many centuries to come.
