What first drew me to this book was that one of the main characters was an older lady. Now I am an older lady myself, I can identify with older ladies that feature in stories.
The older lady in this story is called Agneta and she is a wife, mother and grandmother. After having her family to visit one day , Agneta receives a phone call on her landline. This is not any old phone call, but one that she has been expecting for decades. In fact it is a call that she never ever wanted to answer. When she picks up the phone, a voice on the other end says one word, `Geiger' and that is all. But Agneta now knows what she needs to do.
She goes and finds a long hidden gun that none of her family know about and then she creeps up on her husband , who is sitting in his chair, and shoots him cold dead. Then she goes on the run and begins the mission of her lifetime. She thinks she could have days before the body is discovered , but she does not know that some of her visitors have turned back from their journey home to collect a toy that has been forgotten.
