This book starts like any other but don’t be fooled because then suddenly it really changes and then doesn’t stop. This is a really fast paced crime thriller with so many twists and turns along the way, some you might see coming but others you won’t, right up until the last page. This book is seriously good. I’m not a fan of spy thrillers usually but this book is set from a different angle with the lead Sara trying to track down the killer of a retired TV show host only to find herself embroiled in a very complex dark web of power, politics, and celebrity.
This is a really accomplished debut novel from a clearly very accomplished writer. The story is well plotted with really good characters that all play their part but the leading lady Sara is the star of the show with her strong character, beliefs and everyday worries that make her very likeable and believable.
