For me personally, there’s always something quite exciting about a spy story. Murder is a given but I love the rat race if finding out who has done what.

It starts with a phone call as Agneta is waking the grandchildren goodbye. One word is said: “Geiger”.

She knows what she needs to do - her path is laid out before her. She knew that one day this day would come but she faces it head on.

She gets a gun from her hiding place in the bathroom and kills her husband. A murder mystery has begun.

She’s not able to hang around so she seals up the secret hiding place, leaves all of her keys, identification etc behind and leaves. Disappears.

Sara Nowak is a police officer, dealing with underage sex crimes. BUT she becomes (arguably too involved) in this case. She knew the people involved and had a vested interest in finding out exactly what happened.

What’s good about this book is it’s quite pacy. A lot happens across the 400 odd pages. We learn that this is one puzzle which when leads to a number of others. I enjoyed reading this book for sure.
