What would make a loving wife, mother, and grandmother shoot her husband of many years in the head and then walk out of the house and leave her whole life behind her ? Well after she receives a phone call saying just the word geiger that's exactly what Agneta does.
What follows is a book full of espionage and cold war secrets that keep you turning the page to find out exactly what happened.
The book follows Sara Nowak, who, even though this isn't her jurisdiction decides to join the case as she knows those involved. What she doesn't expect is by doing so she will dredge up family secrets that were best left buried.
When she starts follows the clues she has no idea that she's stumbled in to the middle of a plot that has been over fifty years in the making, and that some people will do anything to protect.
The book can be somewhat heavy in parts, and some people may find some parts disturbing. I personally thought it was a good read. Although originally written in Swedish and then translated you wouldn't guess this when picking up the book.
If you live a good spy or cold War thriller then this is absolutely the book for you.
