This is a modern murder mystery novel. To start off with, I got the sense of the style this book would be written in, immediately. I liked this because the author picked at minute details from the very beginning so the reader didn't have to worry about a change in writing style. I did enjoy the plot and the ideas/concepts behind the story were amazing. However, I personally do not think the exception was as good as it could have been. The writing, while informative, did feel quite immature. For example, the names like "Grandma Agenta" felt very basic and youthful, and in a way it took some of the seriousness away from the plot Lotta was my favourite character and she was unusually relatable. She was clearly very intelligent and perceptive and it was very easy to feel inspired by her view of the world.
As well as that, I was captivated after the first chapter and honestly could not put it down. I recommend this book to anyone who liked Stalking Jack the Ripper or any of Agatha Christie's books.
