As a huge fan of crime and murder mysteries, I was drawn in straight away. What was unique was the elderly woman as one of the main characters as is this quite uncommon ( or I've never come across it before) especially within this particular genre.
I also loved the fact that women had strong, leadership roles in this book!
This book reminded me a little of The girl with the dragon tattoo. The slight twist and turns have been executed very well indeed.
Personally, I felt as though the writing style was quite long-winded however once you get used to it, it becomes easily understandable.
Descriptions of the characters are always my favourite part in any book and I could visualise the characters and their personalities really well in this book :)
Overall, I would have appreciated more details in certain parts and situations however I thoroughly enjoyed this book :)
