I don't know many BBC English speakers that use the phrase "s'okay"....... I'm unconvinced. Descriptions of people and places seem highly contradictory and forced in this extract. Although the premise seemed intriguing I feel this could be let down by the poor writing style. Possibly a bad exert to use? I hope the rest of the book makes up for this.....
