I'll be honest and say I didn't really know what I felt about this book once I'd finished reading.
It's an interesting enough tale of stolen identity, murder and deception using a reverse timeline.
I have no issue with the reverse timeline thing, after all it worked very well for Columbo, but I did find that it just jumped around too much for me and lacked a certain coherency.
Equally all of the characters are just horrible. Jule has the tough background so could have the ability to draw sympathy but she doesn't. Imogen just sounds like a total brat and you can't help feeling that she gets what she deserves. The male figures are vacuous and self centred.
I think the backgrounds of all the characters were so sparse that we didn't have the opportunity to get to know any of them and if a book doesn't feel like a friend then it's hard to feel involved.
It's not a bad book but it really wasn't my thing.
