Genuine Fraud - a story told backwards, keeping you on the edge of your seat through the whole story.

E. Lockhart writes a beautiful tale of the strong, independent fighter Jule. But who is she really? This book will trigger suspicions, but you won't understand where the author takes you before you've arrived.

The book begins with chapter 18, and from there tells Jule's story backwards, from the end to the beginning. Chapter 18 introduces one Jule, a strong woman in hiding, on the run. Chapter 17 tells you how she got there, in a way that answers none of your questions and only triggers more. This writing style will pull you in and not let go until you reach the final pages, the last chapters, chapter 1, the beginning.

Genuine Fraud was the first book I read by E. Lockhart, and I am now convinced I must read more. She writes in such an expressive and colorful way, giving just the right details to make it feel like you're right there beside the characters.

I did not pay much attention to the cover when I first started reading the book. It was sudden, I picked it up, saw the cover, and felt my mind go "Oh!" Such a simple, yet utterly fitting cover, for an intricate and confusing story.
