I read this book last summer in just under a day - partly because of how lovely the weather was but mostly because I couldn't put it down. The story follows Imogen, a young spy with many secrets to hide, the biggest being that she isn't exactly who she says she is. The book has everything you could possibly want in a beach read, romance, friendship, a gripping plot and a fantastic plot-twist (because we all know E. Lockhart does those best).

The book follows Imogen at two points in time and jumps back and forth between the present and the past, as her secrets are slowly revealed to the reader. A slow burn, but an absolute essential read if you're looking for something exciting.

I don't want to give too much away, all I can say is that you'll wish you could read this one for the first time all over again - I know that I did! E. Lockhart is truly unmatched.
