Going into this book my expectations were pretty high considering how the first chapter was so action packed. Personally I found the way the storyline and chapters went backwards were a bit confusing most of the time and I found it hard to keep up with the timeline the story was in. I found that having jules as the narrator of the story was very interesting as we get to see towards the end of the book how her perception or the story was more her own bias opinion that the facts of what actually happened which was interesting to have an unreliable source of information which leaves you rethinking all that was explained throughout the story. I found that jules character didn’t really completely make sense until the end of the book when the plot was explained a bit better. I loved the ending but I do wish we got to see a bit more of the love interest in the book and the romance storyline but overall I enjoyed this book a lot and would recommend to anyone who has read we were liars
