I didn't enjoy We Were Liars by this author but I still decided go give her next book a go. However, I can't decide if this book is a really good mind twisting, brain boggling contemporary story or if it was a train wreck. This book is sort of written backwards, as in each new 'chapter' happens before the previous one, which is ridiculously confusing to start with.
I finally got fully immersed in this book at about half way when things start to become a bit clearer, and characters are revealed and introduced. Although a lot of secrets are kept until the very end, there is a lot of suspense.
If you can put up with the backwards timeline and a twisting tale of mystery and intrigue then I would definitely recommend this book. However it's not to everybody's taste.
