This tells the tale of two girls (or is it one?) Imogen and Juliette who went to school together (or did they?), who are best friends (or are they?) and very rich.
The book opens at chapter 18, works backwards to 1 then gives you 19. If done well this would be brilliant. However, this reads like it was written forwards and then put backwards for a gimmick. The reason I say this is each chapter references what should be the key shock moment in the next (or previous) one.
On reading the first look I thought I'd be in for a tense thriller about hiding in plain sight and what happens when you are found with some reference to what caused Jule sot be on the run. Instead I got a slightly confusing, boring in places, look back at how jules got to this point which is the entire book!!!
Too much set up for very little pay off whilst the characters are well round and the writing is good (stopping it being a zero star read) I felt this was a very big disappointment which I had to push myself to finish. Perhaps if it read forwards it would have been better, although perhaps not one I'd have picked up.
