A fine bright cheery cover sets the scene well. The book starts off, in first person all the way through, in handwritten script including capital letters for emphasis where you can imagine the young girl actually talking, this is her writing her diary. Then she discovers an App so the rest of the book is in text. Like many young girls, she is pestered by an older brother who reads her journal. She feels she is unattractive but is actually the captain of a very successful girl's football team. Emojis are everywhere. This is a good fun read, and I like that itis in good taste, with none of the bad language that seems not only prevalent but compulsory for many young folk. This is a good read indeed.
