I wasn't a fan of the font for the diary - I liked the idea that it was handwriting but it was quite hard to read. Some of the words used in the diary as well contrasted the style it was writtern in - the age of the person writing it from the style was compeltly different to some of the words used. I liked that the awkward young girl journal style continued into the main body and it really felt like she was the one writing it.
