A book I wish I'd read in my teens

As someone who is mixed race, when I was younger there was never anyone who looked like me on books and I'm so pleased to see covers like this more and more.

This is a lovely, light read about a young girl who keeps an online diary, which her brother discovers and uses this to blackmail her (which I can imagine my brother doing this to me).

The content is definitely fitting for the world we live in, as it includes emojis and it feels more relatable with the different types of fonts used.

Like I've said, I wish my younger self could have read this to have understood more about how teenagers deal with relationships with their family, relationships with themselves and the all exciting first crush! The overarching take out from me, was that it's good to be you and be confident doing that. We need more books like this empowering the younger generation and giving them the confident to be who they are.
